Out of Control

FOR or AGAINST? I feel that BOTH Obama and Romney are out of touch.  Politics has become a bad joke.  Useless and out of control memes are becoming more powerful messages than the campaigns themselves.  We end up discussing more about “Binders” and “Bayonets” than the important stuff.  Voters are not voting “for” a particular candidate as much as they are voting “against” another candidate.  Extreme partisan politics is becoming more rampant than ever.  Independent voters or moderates are left to swing to one side or the other or else “waste” their vote.  I find it much more admirable to find a candidate that you really believe in and vote for them no matter what the mainstream media, Democrats, or Republicans want you to do if you are one of the coveted “independent” voters.  SQUAREROOTOFZERO

  1. we need more people to vote than have ever voted before…and not just to “vote against” someone, but to take the time to research beyond the media bites…and when we do vote…..to put every candidate and measure to the test of God…..and if it don’t pass, vote no!

    • I think Emerson said it best:
“A little consideration of what takes place around us EVERY DAY would show us, that a higher law than that of OUR WILL regulates events; that our painful labors are unnecessary, and fruitless; that only in our easy, simple, spontaneous action are we strong, and by CONTENTING OURSELVES with obedience we become divine. Belief and love, – a believing love will relieve us of a vast load of care. O my brothers, God exists. There is a soul at the centre of nature, and over the will of every man, so that none of us can WRONG THE UNIVERSE.”

Which I take to mean that there isn’t a litmus test for God that we can pick up at the local store. That we all must use our own judgement free from our own, or others, manufactured delusions and try to act in accordance to nature to better ourselves from within – rather than let external forces cause us turmoil. By accepting the “lesser of two evils” it is like accepting a standing army instead of accepting peace and we should be aware that in the end we might mistakenly be creating “our own evils.” IMHO 😉
