Round and Round We Go

I have not posted in a while.  The Interns and I have been out in the world doing AWESOME things like our secret book club meetings in the Bahamas (or just the Bahama Breeze in Las Vegas) and reading the Hunger Games.  I am planning on doing an in-depth analysis of that book series after I pay off my timeshare gambling losses.  I also was re-working and re-designing the Square Root of Zero store benefiting the “Save the Humans” Charity.  Anyway….

The two party political system is just like the yin and yang.  It is sort of like opposite sides of the same coin.  There is so much arguing about who is to blame for this and who is to blame for that.  THEY BOTH ARE.  Over the years there has been a lot of talk about who is more like the INGSOC party from Orwell’s 1984.  THEY BOTH ARE.  Power struggles from both sides continue to be the driving force of the Government.  Together they are INGSOC.  We simply can’t continue to blame intangible forces that really don’t exist anywhere else except in our minds.  Aliens (or your alter-ego) did not force you to drink all that soda and eat large quantities of donuts, you did, and now you only have yourself to blame for being a lazy slob.  Blaming one party or other is like blaming aliens for your stupidity (ignorance).

Campaign of psychological control for the masses.  Having a “common” enemy will unite the people.  The man who is “independent” will fail.  Inability to “recognize” these controls makes you weak.

After WWII America saw a period of growth unlike anything in the history of the world.  This was fueled by, one, cheap and abundant energy and, two, the idea that we can kick everyone’s ass who tries to stand in our way of doing anything we want, which includes flying to the moon and picking up rocks off the surface.  Well, we don’t have cheap energy anymore, but we still do have some pretty cool boring looking moon rocks.  The point is – what do we have to bring us together like the excitement in America leading up until landing on the moon?  All our hopes an dreams pinned on landing on the next planet, and the next, and the next… and so on?  It was a big accomplishment, don’t get me wrong, but it is high time to stop being quixotic and tilting at windmills.

“I have met the enemy and the enemy is us”

Imagine every single pixel in the picture above is a person.  One side Republican and the other side Democrat.  Think about the the pushing and fighting where the two sides meet.  Where one group gets larger, the other gets smaller.  A few people get stranded in a sea of strangers.  They keep pushing, moving and morphing, but never really going anywhere.  Unless we can stop and see how futile the blame game is we will just be a bunch of Dumbo Jack Asses singing… “Round and Round We Go” SQAUREROOTOFZERO
